# Live Tv Loops

I’ve noticed that when i’m watching live tv, it will start to loop. I notice it a lot when i’m watching news in the morning, the time on the program lags behind the time on my computer. I end up having to exit out of live tv, and get back in, then it is caught up.

The Web Viewer bundled with the server is deliberately several version behind [https://app.plex.tv](https://app.plex.tv) which has the fix.

With live tv it is usually best to use a Plex client other than the web version to avoid transcoding. There is a Plex for Mac\Windows available for download.

Thanks! I did notice that my stream was transcoding, so that’ll be nice to get rid of that.

I just downloaded the windows app from the plex website and fired up the live tv. I’ll see if it fixs it. Thanks!

I am using plex on windows Its working for me, though I wanted it for my laptop running ubuntu any guideline for that?
