Live TV: watching channel work and after a couple of minute stop working (

Actually since many version, I can’t directly watch TV with plex. When I select a channel, it start correctly but after 1-2 min it stop. The picture freeze and I must load another channel. If I use the HD Homerun app to watch tv, this work flawless without any problem at all.

I think I have all the necessary data for dev to identify the problem.
In the plex_client_nvidia_shield.txt log file. You can see the errors at the end of the file.

If I can help a little bit more, I’m volunteer to give access to my setup to a plex employee if they want to validate or test anything. I have great availability for the next following weeks.

On the device you are viewing try going to Settings and disable New Player. This fixed it for me.

I tried and this doesn’t fix for me… The channel play correctly and a message is displayed in the middle of the screen when I watch a channel.

In french the message is: “mise à jour du support du lecteur …” and a loading bar.

I suppose in english the message is something like: update player support

Getting this as well. There’s quite a few other threads having this issue as well, I’m using a Chromecast with Google TV and having the issue. I’m also happy to provide logs or access if needed. I think it’s been happening for a few months but I haven’t seen anything from Plex on this.

Experiencing the same issue on the Android App. :frowning:
In addition when streaming on the Android App the playback doesn’t even show up in the Plex dashboard.
