# Local media assets name

Player Version#: 1.30.1

Hi,

I’m starting to RIP all my Bluray and add them to my Plex Server but I have an issue with the local extras.

I have the movie which got a name like “Nausicaä.of.the.Valley.of.the.Wind.1984.1080p.DTS-HD.mkv” and Plex show the name “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” and this is normal.

For the local media assets I have two bonus, one “Nausicaä.of.the.Valley.of.the.Wind.1984.Original.Japanese.Storyboards.1080p.DD.mkv” in a folder called Featurettes and one “Nausicaä.of.the.Valley.of.the.Wind.1984.Behind.the.Studio.Creating.Nausicaä.1080p.DD.mkv” in a folder called Behind the Scenes. In Plex I can see both media with their type but the displayed name is “Nausicaä.of.the.Valley.of.the.Wind.1984.Behind.the.Studio.Creating.Nausicaä.1080p.DD” and “Nausicaä.of.the.Valley.of.the.Wind.1984.Original.Japanese.Storyboards.1080p.DD” which are the local extra files name. How can we use the embedded title or rename it ?

Under “Organized in Subdirectories”:

> It is recommended that you provide some sort of descriptive name for the extras filenames.

So that simply mean it is not possible to use metadata name or external name for local extras ?

If your extras are in subdirectories then it will use the filename for the descriptive name. Just make the filename what you want shown.

e.g.:

```auto
/Movies
   /Avatar (2009)
      Avatar (2009).mkv
      /Behind The Scenes
         Performance Capture.mkv
      /Deleted Scenes
         Bar Fight.mp4
         Lost Sister.mkv
      /Interviews
         Sigourney Weaver.mp4
         Stephen Lang.mp4
      /Scenes
         Arrival.mp4
      /Trailers
          Teaser Trailer.mp4
          Theatrical Trailer #1.mp4
          Theatrical Trailer #2.mp4

```

Thanks for the answer, I will stay with file name on Plex Player side then. I like to be organized etc and I prefer to have filename with full description compare to a simple name.

“Nausicaä.of.the.Valley.of.the.Wind.1984.Original.Japanese.Storyboards.1080p.DD” is better than “Original Japanese Storyboards” on the storage side.
