# Local Random Show Channel

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this idea.
Plex does a great job of showing a movie or a TV series cover and information, even the music intro, but I would love to have feature that makes Plex looks more like a TV with actual channels. There could be channels according to the movies or series genre and a random channel, they all would show random video footage of the content and if the user press OK it would start playing from the beginning.
The idea behind this is to simulate the uncertainty of TV that sometimes force us to watch something that otherwise we would ignore and realize it was a good content after all.
It might sound silly for content that you actually have around but it would give more simplicity and attract more consumers. In my case I have in my house a computer hooked up to a TV with Plex on front and I have seen all members of my family (both old and young) ignoring it completely and watching movies on standard definition via cable TV having the same movie in the Plex server in high definition.
