# Mac Mini M1 Plex Server Migration Success

I replaced my 15 year old PC Plex Server with a Mac Mini M1.

I used the Mac’s built in Migration Assistant to transfer everything.

The migration was a success. I didn’t need to move any of the Plex Server files like the How To explains. The Migration Assistant basically cloned my install. Once the old one was was shut down I rebooted the new Mac, then logged out of Plex and back in.

Everything works perfectly.

Just a heads up for anyone with a Mac moving a Plex server to a new Mac.
