I have looked everywhere for a solution to this but am unable to fix the issue, all the port forwarding is setup and works fine for everything else, but for plex (i have 2 NAS boxes with their own server) i want to have external port of 32401 to differentiate from the other server but it will not work at all. Although occasionally it will say it is connected for about 0.5 seconds!
I do not have a double NAT Issue as far as i can tell looking at the forums and the Synology server has a fixed ip, so am at a loss I have BT SmartHub 2 and the box is connected to a Whole Home Disc (which looking at the online info is BRidged and Not NAT)
I have wasted a day fiddling with this, but to no avail …
Standard question 1:
Have you confirmed it’s actually not working or is this solely related to the remote access status indicator in Plex Remote Access Settings?
if i set the remote to the default port it works no problem, i can connect remotely but if i change the port so it is not in conflict with my other Plex Server (which is switched off completely while i sort this) it wont connect. the same thing i happening no my QNAP also
reading online, and verifying if ports are open and being listened on, it appears the PMS will not listen to a port other than 32400, how can you fix this
You set the public side port 52000 (example) to PMSipAddress:32400 for the first one
You set the public side port 52010 (example) to PMSipAddress:32400 for the second one
and down the list of servers…
