# Marking videos as watched

I’ve been writing a plugin today for [Pokerstars.tv](http://Pokerstars.tv) and have it nearly wrapped up, but I’d like to if possible mark videos as unwatched/watched so that when you go in you can see which videos have been watched just like in the normal library.  
  
  
  
This isn’t something I’ve seen in other plugins so I’m expecting it not to be possible, but if it is that’d be awesome.

I’m also interested in this.  
  
Is there any way to add a unique GUID (such as the RSS item/guid) to a TrackItem, and then let Plex manage the watched/unwatched flag?

I asked Elan about this at one point. It is not currently possible but, if I understood correctly, it _may_ become possible in a future version of the plugin framework.

I was thinking of this, though wouldn't that something be best suited for Plex to store, since it could make the association between the URL and what was watched and what was partly watched?

I agree and that was kinda the gist I got from Elan when I brought it up. Watched/unwatched is something that is best managed by the Media Server rather than individual plugins.
