I have a video file of the Monkees movie “Head” from 1968 on my Synology DS224+ NAS in the folder “TV”>“The Monkees”.
The file title is “The Monkees s00e01 Head (1968) {tmdb-18193}.mp4”.
In my Plex app, the show is titled " Here Come The Monkees (Pilot)".
This is the show it should be linked to: Head (1968) — The Movie Database (TMDB)
How can I get this to pull the metadata from the correct source?

If you want to use the listing on TMDB, you must put it into a movie-type library. (on TMDB, it is listed as a movie)
Files which are named like a tv show episode (i.e. which have the SxxEyy marker) cannot be matched in a movie type library.
Alternatively, if you want to include this movie into the tv show, you will need to switch it to use the “TheTVDB (Aired)” episode ordering.
Then you can add the movie as s00e65
