# Match Frame Rate Issue with old player

I just recently noticed that the match frame rate option doesn’t work with all my files now. I just used to have no problems with my Apple TV 4K, but not anymore. The match frame rate option continue to work with Infuse app. This issue just happen on some titles but I’m not able to notice what’s the difference with my files. All my files are 1080p m4v.

I came here to see if any one experienced the same issue:
The automatic frame rate switching/matching seems to be broken for me if I use the old player. When starting a video it doesn’t match the frame rate and keeps the system frame rate. E.g. when watching a 24/23,98fps movie you don’t see a blank screen from a hdmi re-sync and the movie plays in my system’s 60fps. “Match Frame Rate” is active in system setting and all other apps like Netflix, Disney+ etc. change the frame rate correctly. **Even** the new player in the Plex app is able to match the frame rate.
Please fix this issue for the old player since using the new player is no option for me (due to some subtitle issues you haven’t been able to solve over the past years _wink_ _wink_)
