# May have accidentally deleted plex files

Player Version#: 1.6.5.1097-3bb9dc68
I accidentally deleted all plex associated files on my computer, I then deleted the apps and reinstalled them, however since I’ve done that, I am only able to get onto friends servers and not able to connect to or start a new server or create new libraries. The option does not come up during installation or in the settings. The activity tab in the player is also unavailable. I have no idea how to fix, please help!

Sounds like you had PMS installed under a different Plex user. Deleting the PMS program does not remove that account info. Follow [https://support.plex.tv/articles/201941078-uninstall-plex-media-server/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201941078-uninstall-plex-media-server/) to totally remove PMS or [https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/) to onyl remove the account info.
