# Media Server Updates not available

I’m a plex pass member but I get getting the message “up to date” whenever there are releases for plex pass members only.
I only can update when the releases for non plex pass members are released.
Is there something I’m missing?

In your server settings under general there are two options:
The first is a check box for ‘Automatically check for updates’ and the second is ‘Update Channel’. For automatic updates you want the box checked and update channel set to PlexPass.
Occasionally different branches will be released on the forums only and need to be manually installed until they are merged with the main PlexPass branch (IE DVR and HW encoding)
