Merging or moving 2 libraries without losing meta data

I have multiple libraries in my Plex
lib1: documentaries, pointing to folder M:/documentaries
lib2: series, pointing to folder M:/series

I now want to move the contents of folder documentaries to the folder series, but this triggers a complete re-download of all meta data.

I had to add a lot of metadata manually so I wouldn’t want to do it all again.

I tried adding the path from the documentaries to the series libraries (settings --> add folders), but this also triggers a re-download of all metadata. Same if I move everything without throwing away the older library (so plex still knows the shows), but this also triggers a re-download.

This is unfortunately not possible.
