# Metadata from homevideo file

Hi all,

&nbsp;

I want to put as many metadata (description, title, date ... etc) into the home video files. This would be great in the case of the loss of the database, or handover to others etc.

&nbsp;

My question: Is there a list or all metadata that is understood by Plex. For example: Sort Title would be great to feed this with other content than Title.

P.S. Of course I could enter via dialog .... but once in&nbsp;the source&nbsp;file I don't have to take care of the database etc.....

1. Find a software which lets you generate XBMC compatible .nfo files (Ember Media Manager for instance under Windows)

2. Install the [XBMC import agents](https://forums.plex.tv/topic/38402-metadata-agents-for-exported-xbmc-library/)

3. Set primary metadata agent of home video library to 'XBMCnfoMoviesImporter'

3. Profit!

Thank you - this is working great.

I just found out that "Sort Title" seams not to be support by the Plex interface ...

Sort title is supported by Plex, but the XBMC importer is probably not importing it.
