# Metadata language problem

Hello,

I have been running the Plex server on a XigmaNAS for several years. Yesterday I updated to the latest server. I don’t know if this is the problem. I then uploaded some movies and searched for metadata. All agents are set to “German” in terms of language. After a metadata comparison, all(!) my series were changed from German to English. When I select a series and go to “Fix matches”, I always find that the mask is preset to “English”. See attachment. If I go to search options (left) and preselect “German”, the desired metadata is displayed and I can change it.

Where can I make a setting to change this basic assignment back to German? I would also be grateful for a link.

1. verify that your web browser is _not_ configured to automatically translate web pages on the domain plex.tv from English to German. The same applies for web pages on the local IP address of your server machine.
