I’ve recently added an new folder of shows to my plex server. This folder is not archived, as in a ZIP or a compressed file. All the titles have clear names, no special characters or odd symbols. And the files all have the same permission as the other files I can find on my server. So why cant I add these videos? ---

Ok, I reviewed the article you attached. The way I have all my content, for example. main folder\>\>\>\>\>I LOVE LUCY sub-folder\>\>\>\>\>\>SEASON 1 sub-sub-folder\>\>EP.1 THE LOST the other content on my server is organized the same manner. and it can be found easily. But when i scan media files. My folders will appear but the video files themselves are not present. ---

Though the scanner tries to match to make sure you give it the best chance you should to name them like below. Where the `TV` folder is the folder added to the library settings. There are many tools like filebot that can rename a series of files very quickly. `.../TV/I Love Lucy (1951)/Season 1/I Love Lucy (1951) S01E01 The Lost.mkv` Outside of that the second most likely causes can be file permissions not allowing the server to see them, or it was matched with as something else. ---

Alas!!! I found a solution, here is a screen shot of the settings change I made. Maybe this can help others as well. Changing to an old scanner/agent is not going to solve any problems long term and you will end up missing out on some features that require the new agent. Sooner or later the old agent/scanner will go away. ---
