# Missing Server on Webapp

Hi, i’m having an absolute nightmare with Plex at the minute. It was running fine until the dreaded server stopped issue, where it won’t restart no matter what you try, which has happened a number of times since i’ve been using Plex, highly annoying. The only option when this happens is to factory reset my Nvidia Shield and start again. So days later when up and running again Plex had major issues indexing some of my files, files that were indexed fine previously and it was running extremely slow through menus etc. I tried everything on all the forums and nothing worked. Then all of a sudden my server went missing from the web app. It’s still there on the Shield but it means i can’t update my library or go into any of the server settings i.e. remote settings. I’ve spent about 6hrs today reading Plex forums and nothing works. The media server’s missing on Chrome, Firefox, Brave, plex on my mobile and through the app on my Macbook. I haven’t changed my password at all. The only thing i did do after someone on a forum said to try, was disable IPV6 in plex to help with the metadata issue, which didn’t work and my server was there functioning ok after i did this but then i stopped my server on the shield, signed out of everything and even rebooted my router and thats when it went missing.
Can someone please please help, i really don’t want to start again from scratch…i’m at my wits end.

When using Plex Web, did you try using the IP address of the Shield itself. Sounds like it may have gotten unclaimed.

Find the IP address of the Shield. You can find this in the internet settings from the Shield main settings page.
Then from your browser you enter
[http://IpOfShield:32400/web/index.html](http://IpOfShield:32400/web/index.html)
