Server Version#:1.21.3.4014
Player Version#:4.47.3

I was excited to see a new version but my problem remains, ‘moov atom not found’. I have tried several rippers (MacX DVD Ripper Pro, MakeMKV), converters, ffmpeg, untrunc, HB but the playing capability is no better with ‘web optimized’ (moov atom at the beginning) vs. moov atom at the end.

When I run ffmpeg I get the following:

> pi@plex:/media/plex1/tv shows/The Wire/Season 01 $ **ffmpeg -i ‘The Wire - S01E10 HB’.mp4 -c:v copy -c:a copy -movflags +faststart ‘The Wire - S01E10 HBffmpeg’.mp4**

This video runs fine on my Mac

This tells me that it is not Plex per se but the construction of the file. Yes?? When I look at the hex for the HB converted to WO (same file as above) here is what I see

This doesn’t happen with every series or season but it is consistent by season.

Attached are the logs [Plex Media Server Logs\_2021-02-06\_21-47-59.zip](https://forums.plex.tv/uploads/short-url/h9FVdcJC8fA7WM4AQnA2F6U31Lb.zip) (4.6 MB)

I have some with the moov atom at the end and some in the beginning that play on Plex.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Any ideas?

A test:
remux these files with [MKVtoolnix](https://mkvtoolnix.download/ "MKVtoolnix")
Put them into your library.
Does the behaviour change?

Thanks for the input. Though I have loaded this on my RPi Plex server, there are several tools with a bunch of parameters. It appears that you may be more familiar with this than I, could you provide a statement that I could use? I am not really sure what I should accomplish with this tool.

Thanks

There is no need to perform the remuxing directly on your server. You can use any type of computer which has access to the media storage.
