Mouse scroll wheel for volume control anywhere on the screen when using media player

Hi All
I am raising this issue from the dead again apparently as nothing has been mentioned for nearly a year.

In older versions of Plex, you used to be able to change the volume using the mouse scroll wheel, without the need for the mouse to be over the volume section of the UI.

I understand that this was changed because people complained of this feature when listening to music. However I, and a lot of other people, do not use it for music, or liked to be able to change the volume anywhere quickly (especially when trying to lower the volume quickly so as not to wake the kids up).

Would it be possible to add a switch in the settings to be able to enable/disable volume control using the mouse wheel. This would then give everyone either option and keep everyone happy.

Thanks

Mods, Can I please get a reply to this. It was stated in a different post that it would be addressed in a later version, but it has still not been. Now with the latest version of PMP breaking the volume control even further, I am confused as to why it wont be fixed, especially as so many people are asking for it.

Thanks

I’m seconding this motion. I’m also hoping for some official statement.
This feature was awesome and should be brought back!
Make it optional, so everyone can be happy.
Also: Escape to exit full screen would be great.
