# Move multiple Items on Playlist

Hi there

There is a really central feature missing, which I cannot find anywhere and doesn’t get any attention: Moving multiple items in a playlist.

I googled for it for a while now and the only thing I can find on that topic is an unanswered reddit-post:

**The problem:**  
Currently when I am trying to order my items in the playlist (especially when adding new items to the playlist, which will be on the buttom), my only two options are:

- Move all tracks one by one to the wanted position (tidious and veeeeeeeeery annoying)
- Delete all tracks in between and add them again afterwards (which is hellish as well)

So if I want, let’s say all the same artists after one another I am really struggling to get a playlist with which I am satisfied.

**How I would imagine the solution:**  
When I have selected multiple items in my playlist I should be either able to simply drag&drop them to the wanted position or cut (ctrl+x) and paste (ctrl+v) them or have a move button with which I am able to enter the position to which the items should move.

Either of these ways are better than the current ones.

There is an [existing request](https://forums.plex.tv/t/mass-reordering-of-playlists/431598) for this feature. Rather than splitting votes over several threads, it’s best to add your vote and comments there.
