I’ve been reading for a while and I think I’m more confused than when I started.

Here’s my situation. My SSD is small. Plex is taking up a huge part of that in the /var/lib/plexmediaserver and .plex in my Home directory (Linux Mint 18.3)

I want to move these to these to a different drive. What is the easiest way to do this?
earlier posts mentioned moving it and changing the past in a setting in plex, but that setting no longer seems available.

If your system returns init, please see the next post in this thread. While you may change /lib/systemd/system/plexmediaserver.service, it is under the control of the package manager and subject to replacement without warning at any time during an update. To provide stability, systemd allows creation of an override.conf file to customiz…

Thanks, I will use this method but it seems cumbersome what with all the requests for how to do this a search turns up. Might be why I’m turning to other media servers.
