Movie Verified On Hard Disk - Plays In Media Player - Completely ignored by Plex?

I obtained a copy of the original Manhattan show in black and white and it appears to be a good copy as it plays in Media Player and looks good but when I put it in the Movie directory on the hard disk that Plex uses to process the movies it displays, the movie does not show up (it shows in File Manager in that directory). It is not showing as a new movie as all others do and when I go to the directory in Plex it is not anywhere to be found. I have tried to see if it might be included as a second copy of a similar movie but, after spending much to much time it is no where to be found. Any idea why?

How is the file named & organized?

You can add the IMDB or TMDB ID to the folder and file name. Doing so tells Plex exactly which movie to match.

Plex Dance the movie if you rename/reorganize.

Standard naming:

/movies
  /Manhattan (1979)
    /Manhattan (1979).ext <-- ext = mkv/mp4/etc.

With IMDB ID

/movies
  /Manhattan (1979) {imdb-tt0079522}
    /Manhattan (1979) {imdb-tt0079522}.ext
