# Music Sorting 'Various Artists'

I have very carefully used Picard to set my metadata and every audio file has a Album Artist and a Album Artist Sort Order tag. It works beautifully - except that albums with ‘Various Artists’ for Album Artist Sort Order appear between ‘Cactus Brothers, The’ and ‘Cadillac Blues Band’. I’ve been searching the metadata via Picard and the [XML Info](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201998867-Investigate-Media-Information-and-Formats) to find something that start with a ‘CAD…’ and there’s nothing. Is there something about Various Artists that Plex is treating weirdly?
Note that there’s nothing between ‘Vargas Blues Band’ and ‘Vaughan Brothers, The’.

Click on the artist name.
Hit the “Edit” button, to edit the artist and not the album.
What is in the Sort Order field?
