I wouldn’t say that. Only 3 out of dozens of programs I use only need internet. Heck, you can install Windows or Linux without internet. You can actually use web browsers without internet.
While it is not 100% on topic, I get again and again EXTREMELY annoyed when I try to watch a synced episode of some show while commuting to work. I do have an internet connection, but at certain hot spots, the speed is really slow due to 100K people using their phones. When I try to start watching a show, the app first starts accessing the internet for minutes, although the episode is synced and it has NOTHING to search/see on the internet. I literally have to go in offline mode, and start the episode, only then it starts playing immediately and without problems.
How stupid is that??? Yes, maybe you want to check certain things, bla bla, but it’s super annoying looking at a screen, waiting for the thing to start playing and nothing happens. If at least it would tell you what exactly it’s trying to do (like waiting for the highest bidder of your private data in a live auction), then I could at least sort of understand.
This thing should work with MUCH less dependency on an internet connection. Especially for paying users.
No. It should have no dependency of the internet.

First sentence.
- Mobile Sync provides an easy way for you take your content with you and enjoy it offline.
As I wrote. It DOES work perfectly fine, but only WHEN I’m in offline mode.
When I’m still online, and try to play a synced item, it somehow stalls to start playing for minutes for no obvious reason.
if you want to act like an smartass here about not relying into internet using programs. Dude we’re talking about Plex here that needs internet at least once if you want to use it without internet.
If you gonna talk about programs in general, there are lots of programs that don’t require internet. It’s not only you know about them since I code myself for living, but I’m pretty sure average consumer/user today can’t do much ■■■■ without internet with their tablets/computer.
My bad, with the use of profanity I genuinely believed you thought most applications needed internet access.
