When viewing my Plex server specifically with Plex Web, if I view items in “Movies & Shows in Media Libraries” (for example if I click on a cast member, then below their picture it shows other movies and shows that person is in…) I’ve noticed that my server is not listed in the available sources.
To be clear, I am 100% sure that at least some of the items listed exist in my library. But instead, it shows two other servers which I am a guest on, but that I don’t own. The server I own does not show any listings here.
Also, if I view the same pages on another platform (tvOS, iOS etc), my server is listed there. It is only missing if I view it on the web browser.
Ah yes, if I reload the page a few times, they do show up. Well that’s frustrating. Why would that be happening?
And yes, all 3 of your bullet points are true. And this happens for not only movies, but TV shows as well.
This certainly seems like some kind of Plex bug, since reloading the page makes the entries suddenly appear. Also, this only started happening fairly recently.
I have a similar issue. After I run “Scan library files”, All “Movies & Shows in Media Libraries” under individual actors disappear and only “Movies & Shows on Plex” remains. In the filmography you can no longer see which shows/movies are in your library. Clicking through individual movies slowly repopulates it but the only way I found to fully repopulate this is to “refresh all metadata” for each library which takes forever.
