Naming convention for .srt files in multiple part

I have a multiple subtitle files (.srt) that pertain to a single TV-episode. Each .srt file represents a different time period in the same episode when a foreign language is spoken the rest of the time English is spoken.

Can you tell me the convention I should use to name the different subtitle files?

Whilst subtitles work fine for other movies and TV shows where there is only one .srt file in this instance Plex does not see the .srt files at all. I have tried doing the plex dance and refreshing the metadata and that did not work. The .srt files are in UTF-8 format. Currently the .srt parts are named:

TV Series = TVSeries Season 1

.srt files for S01E01 named:

TVSeries S01E01_2.en.srt
TVSeries S01E01_3.en.srt
TVSeries S01E01_4.en.srt

I have also tried this format

1_TVSeries S01E01.en.srt

In either case plex does not see the .srt files it just displays “Subtitles None” in the player

Hope somebody can help with this

Plex can only use one subtitle file at one time.

Merge those subtitles into one SRT file.
You can do so with a subtitle editor, e.g. Subtitle Edit
