Hi team, I’m having the ghost server issue that many others have reported. In short. We first had a server on our iMac (server name:‘iMac’), before shifting everything to a NAS (server name: ‘NasReid’). Despite removing ‘iMac’ from the iMac (and from my Plex admin account), it’s old empty ghost libraries are still showing up on various apps (iPhone, iPad, Amazon Fire Stick etc). To clarify, when I login through the web app I can’t see the old server (‘iMac’), and it’s not listed in authorised devices (only the newer ‘NasReid’ is). Can someone delete the ‘iMac’ ghost server/libraries from everything please? ---

Make sure the `old` libraries are not pinned (favorite) in the different apps, and if so simply unpin them And if above is not helping, you’ll need to create a ticket here: [https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=plex-pass-billing](https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=plex-pass-billing) ---

Thank you @dane22 Confirming this is happening in accounts that didn’t have access when we were using ‘iMac’ initially (so they never had them favourited to begin with). It is possible to un-favourite them on the iPhone app, but the new Plex app in Amazon = ghost libraries are showing under ‘Libraries’, on top of the new server ones. Then if you select ‘See All Libraries’, this only has the new server’s libraries available to favourite, but still says ‘X Favorite Libraries’ (which is the total number including the old ghost libraries). In short… there’s no way to de-select them from favourites in there. Have tried submitting a support ticket in the billing section at the link you provided, thank you. ---

Same bug here, and I found the mechanism — it’s not a server registration at all. The ghost tiles come from orphaned rows in your account’s `favoriteLibraries`: ```auto https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user/settings?key=favoriteLibraries&sharedSettings=1 ``` Each row is a self-contained library descriptor (`serverId`, `title`, `key`, `hubKey`), so the client draws the tile without ever consulting `/api/v2/resources` — which is exactly why the server reads as fully deleted everywhere else while the tiles persist. It’s account-side and cross-device-synced, so app reinstalls don’t help; they just re-download the same list. That also matches what you described about the UI: “See All Libraries” only offers un-favoriting for libraries on _reachable_ servers, while the count still includes the dead ones. ⚠ **If you tried the posted one-liner and got nowhere:** the URL needs `&X-Plex-Token=`, not a second `?`. The `?` form returns **HTTP 404** , which makes it look like the endpoint doesn’t exist. Also `?key=` is mandatory, and a POST body must be `{"value": ...}` or you get `400 code 1004`. I’d recommend a surgical prune (GET → drop rows whose `serverId` is the dead machineIdentifier → POST back) over `DELETE`, since DELETE wipes _all_ your favorites. Thanks @OttoKerner, I’ve tried switching users back and forth but nothing changes (ghost libraries still showing). Thanks for your suggestions as well @Ace_in_Space (around ghost tiles coming from orphaned rows in the account’s favoriteLibraries). I queried that directly with my own token: GET [https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user/settings?key=favoriteLibraries&sharedSettings=1&X-Plex-Token=](https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user/settings?key=favoriteLibraries&sharedSettings=1&X-Plex-Token=)… It returns 11 rows. Every one of them belongs to the new server, the current live server. There is nothing from the old ‘iMac’ server. Identical result with and without sharedSettings=1. Redacted sample: `` That also fits the shape of the problem. The ghost libraries show up for household accounts that never had access to the iMac server, so those users could never have favourited them. A per-account favourites list cannot explain that. Feels like this is server-side and cannot be purged from the account end. So, ruled out so far: - Server deleted from the account, not present in Authorised Devices - Not visible in Plex Web or the desktop sidebar - Not returned by the account’s ‘favoriteLibraries’ - App reinstalls on affected clients, ghosts return - Cannot be un-favourited via ‘See All Libraries’, though the favourites count still includes them This looks like backend state that only Plex can clear. **Plex staff** , could someone please purge the stale reference to the old ‘iMac’ server from my account. Happy to provide the old machineIdentifier, [server logs,](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) or anything else that helps. Do y’all use the mobile apps? When you long press on `Libraries` the bottom does this library show up as a favorite there? If so the menu to the right of each favorite should have an option to remove it.
