# Need to merge two accounts (please help plex devs!)

so i just created an account and bought a lifetime pass. once i set it up and tried to change the default username, i realized that i had made free plex account years ago. can you please free up my old username so that i can use it for my new account? i can PM a moderator my old username so that they can change my current account to it. please and thank you in advance.

1. delete the free account
2. wait 1 month
3. change the username and/or the email address of the paid account
