I just finished wiring the house with Cat6 to a nice gig switch in order to use Plex in the house. When I am trying to watch Bluray movies I have 2 problems.

1. When I have the Plex client on the Samsung SmartTV set to transcode the video, it will play for about 20 seconds and then give a “network error message”

2. When I set the playback mode to Auto, then the Blueray plays, but I don’t hear any sound through the soundbar connected to the TV.

What can I do to resolve either of these issues??

Can you please verify:

1. Settings - Server - General - Show Advanced: Debug on, Verbose off
2. Recreate the failure
3. Wait 30 seconds
4. Capture the logs (Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs)
5. Attach the ZIP

Absolutely. The problem happened about 8:55pm MST, hopefully the log error is close to that time.[Plex Media Server Logs\_2019-05-08\_20-55-24.zip](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/plex/original/3X/5/f/5f89d9ae00a7db80dc8580930296c11b033a6e18.zip) (1.7 MB)

And that is with transcoding turned on within the Samsung SmartTV app

@ChuckPa Did those logs provide any useful information to this issue?

My apologies for being so slow to reply. It’s been a very busy week.

Yes, the logs were very revealing. DNS failures caused by apparent adapter dropout.

The server then panics because the computer seems to have lost its network interface.
