New error message after recent PLEX update blocking all most movie playbacks “Conversion failed. Transcorder exited”

apologies, Been as busy as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

Accessing Settings:

  1. Swipe the Apple Remote to the left (exposes left panel with your name at top)
  2. click it
  3. swipe down 1 step to “Settings”
  4. Click “Settings”

To get to the XML for any media:

  1. Web browser
  2. Hover over the item
  3. Ellipsis appears in lower right corner of poster - click it.
  4. click “Get Info”
  5. click “View XML” on the next displayed window.

(*) OK, great: I have finally figured out how to turn off the overlay display — and at this point my PLEX playback appears to be functioning perfectly, as long as I use the Synology share folder that I created the other day (rather than the video share folder originally created by Synology).

(*) Happily for me, it doesn’t appear that I’ll have to figure out what you were prompting me to get with those directions about attaching “the XML.” I was never able to grasp what file to get nor where to get it nor how to extract “the XML,” but since all my lost PLEX functions appear to be fully restored, I guess this has become a moot point, right?
