About a month ago I did a Win 11 reset on my machine. Since then, everytime I reboot, I get a new Plex server instance started. Both the old and the new server have the same name, but the old server is no longer available, and I have to manually delete it, and then repin my libraries to my Home. Also when this happens, all collections are reset. It’s really a pain. Might anyone have any idea why this is happening? I have PMS set to start at login, just like I used to before the reset. All was fine then. Not so much now.

When you launch Plex are you running it as admin or as a regular user?

Thats your problem, you shouldnt `Run As Administrator` when launching plex. I just have it running regularly and dont have issues. I suspect its some kind of registry/file permissions issue.

I think the issue might be that two different users on the machine were starting servers. Could that cause it?

If you are having problems, the first question will be whether it runs ok when not being run as a service. Please ensur…
