# Newbie!

Hi,

Newbie alert…

My son and I have Plex accounts (one standard account and one with Plex lifetime pass).

We run a Plex server on a QNAP NAS but the account linked to the server is the standard account. How can we attach the account with the Plex lifetime pass as the Server account?

Using Plex Web, go to Settings \ Server \ General. Sign out. Then Click on your avatar in the top right, and select sign out from the list. You will be asked to sign in again. Use the account with the Plex Pass. When Web loads, you will either see your server or get a message that there is an unclaimed server. If you get the latter, go ahead and claim it and follow the prompts. If you don’t get that, go to Settings \ Server \ General and sign in using the Plex Pass account. Done.
