# No fast forward, rewind or pause

Most current everything… Just noticed that I can’t seem to fast forward, rewind or pause whilst watching a movie. If I back out to the movie detail page and start again all is well. Am I just noticing this now or is this a known issue?

Quick update. Just tried playing the same movie via Airplay from an iphone and it does the same thing. Playing it from iphone to a Chromecast works as expected.
I guess this is more an ios issue than a plexconnect one.

There is an issue with those symptoms, showing the progress bar all white-ish.
To me, it seems to be an iOS bug (?). A valid workaround seems to be to set the aTV's native subtitle language to None. Or something in those lines. There are several threads about that topic, if I remember it kind of creeped up with one of the recent iOS firmware updates.
It's nice to get an affirmation, that it is indeed iOS related...

Confirmed that the progress bar gets messed up as well. The playing indicator does not move and the rest if the bar is white and messed up looking.
Note: setting the native ATV subtitle menu item to “none” does indeed fix the problem. Thanks for the tip Baa!

Confirmed that with PlexConnect 13/02/2014 and iOS 6.0.2 (6646.81.1) that changing:
Settings -\> Audio & Video -\>Subtitle Language: "Off"
Fixes the problem.
Mine had been set to auto.

The workaround appears to fix it for local content, but from shared libs it doesn't (at least not for me)

if i set subtitles to none, i still get subtitles when in plex/netflix but not itunes?
