No longer downloading metadata for TV Shows.

Movies work fine, but nothing for any of my TV shows. TV Shows just show Episode xx with no description, actors, etc.
Server on Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit 8GB RAM
PMS Version
TV Show Library is set to use TheTVDB agent
TheTVDB Agent is set with TheTVDB at top, then The Movie Database,, Plex Theme Music,, and then Local Media Assets at the bottom.
Folder Structure is
TV Shows
-->Show Name
-->Season xx
Searched high and low for an answer but haven't found one yet. Tried the file dance, moved file out, rescan, clean bundles, empty trash, re-add, rescan files. Even tried refresh metadata after readding, but still nothing. Redownload the latest PMS and reinstalled. Not sure what else to try.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Welcome to the Forum.

Basic Non-Compliance:

Won’t work (reliably):
…Game of Thrones
…Season 7

Will work today, tomorrow and the next day:
…Game of Thrones
…Season 07\ <— 'Season 7 will work, but if we’re going to ‘split hairs’…
…Game of Thrones - S07E02.mp4 <— read on - more follows about MP4/M4V files…

FileBot (link in my signature) can handle that for you automatically or manually in seconds.

What FileBot can’t do is remove possible embedded metadata in the Title Field of MP4/M4V files. Plex will read this info and prefer it over a perfect file name/structure (you don’t have any of those yet), but you can combat that situation by moving Local Media Assets to the bottom of every agent list you can find. All tabs in TV Show and Movies here:
Just drag LMA to the bottom of the list and drop it. If you do have embedded metadata this will cure the issue, if you don’t it won’t matter. LMA will do what it has to from the bottom.

Renaming/restructuring is best performed OUTSIDE the library and you’ll need to write a new bundle for the show so The Plex Dance® was invented:

The Plex Dance®:

  1. remove show/movie from library
  2. update library
  3. empty trash
  4. clean bundles <— update library, empty trash, clean bundles
  5. bring names and structures into compliance/ or the ultimate bundle reboot operation
  6. replace corrected show/movie into library
  7. update library

All Steps. In Order. No Shortcuts.

FileBot pre-matches and re-names every single file before it ever goes in ANY of my libraries. I basically got tired of random failures and constantly messing with file names. I much prefer naming them with FileBot Once - then watching them:

^^that can be done automatically, or manually in seconds - eliminating hours/weeks/months/years of unnecessary stress later on.

I had this same issue last night, a workaround was installing plex version: plex-media-server- You might want to give that a shot. I double checked the "filehorse" link and the hash matches the one Plex released, so it's clean if you want to google for it.

I'm also on Windows 7 SP1. I tried various fixes (disable ipv6, install certificates, whitelist tvdb, plex dance, etc) from these forums, but that's ultimately what fixed it for me.

My system isn't fully updated on Windows Update, due to getting stuck in a blue screen loop on some specific update out of the 100 or so it offers me, I wonder if it's the same for you?

Never had an real frustrating issue with Plex before this so it was very concerning and I was ready to jump to emby tbh.

Thanks JuiceWSA, you have me back on track with filebot.
