Open the Google play store app on the shield and verify that the Plex _server_ app has been installed and is up-to-date. ---

I have installed everything per instructions and reinstalled and updated everything. Multiple times! Nvidia shield pro has the Plex server app built into its Plex app. Looking at the Google Play store, there is no Plex server app. Only the Plex app. Here are the set up instructions: [https://support.plex.tv/articles/221099988-setting-up-and-managing-plex-media-server-on-nvidia-shield/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/221099988-setting-up-and-managing-plex-media-server-on-nvidia-shield/) These instructions are useless with the missing menu items I’m supposed to click on! When I first started Plex it let me start setting up a server, but I got interrupted partway through. Now the options are missing! There is no support anywhere. There is no number to call, no tech support. ---

I’ve got an issue that isn’t fixed by turning off and on, uninstalling, clearing cache and memory, deleting and recreating an account and can’t get help with Nvidia or Plex. Missing options mean I can’t set up a server. I’m paying for something I can’t use and nobody helps. Is there any way to talk to someone? ---

Is this the Nvidia Shield “Tube” model? It seems the default “client” app you run on a shield automatically detects and offers to setup the server on regular Shield the first time you ran it. If this does not come up, then perhaps you are running the “tube” model, which does not support a server and thus won’t offer to setup the server… Do you wish to have this server local to the shield, and always running? Edit: I also don’t see that you have a Plex Pass, which is (afaik) the only way to “pay” for this service. So I’d like to know more about what you are paying for. Also, are you attempting to set up your own server, or add someone else’s server? Sorry, but your initial post is a bit vague, and my mind is filling in the blanks with probably-incorrect information. ---

Ah, thanks. Eep, this person’s been looking for help for some time now. Well, I don’t have any experience with the Shield server. I wouldn’t expect that a tube Shield would even offer to activate a server if it’s not capable of it, so I doubt that is the issue. Most likely, the user has activated the server, but somehow the client is not signed into the same account that… the server is registered under…? Dunno how married the Shield’s Client and server are, but not seeing the server at all sounds like it’s registered under a different account, so it’s essentially invisible to the current user. ---

I’m going to jump into this topic as I have the same issue. Server Version#:1.32.8.7639 (smb) Player Version#: All I’m not sure whether the OP experienced this during initial setup, but I’ve been running Plex server on Nvidea Shield for a number of years. A few weeks ago I lost connection to the plex server in all players. In Plex player on Shield I now see the same as the OP. The server is also no longer visible in iOS Plex app or web player. The issue arose for me seemingly without any changes being made to any part of the setup. I was watching a movie, took a 15 minute break and came back to a missing server. I’ve signed up to the Beta program in the Google Play store and am running the latest version. ---

Tube? I’m not familiar with that, it’s a new Nvidia shield pro. I was able to cancel Plex pass. I won’t have one right now ---

Yeah, my annual renewal is due tomorrow so I’ve just cancelled my subscription. Hopefully this can get resolved and I can return as I’ve been using Plex for many years and have invested a lot of time and effort into setting it up. ---

I have the same exact problem and others on redit as issues , most post on redit because they get zero help from this forum. dosen’t matter what you do the plex server options is gone on any new install also. ---
