None of my anime movies are recognized

None of my anime movies are recognized, is there a patch or something for the metadata? Why is this not working? Everything else works Great! Plex is an excellent product except for the anime movie bug.

Thanks~

Make sure they are named exactly as they are named in IMDB.

There are some plugins that handle Anime correctly, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the plugin I am thinking of, it may be Hama something or other.

Anyhow, check out this one: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/105054/release-myanimelist-net-metadata-agent and do search for the others that are out there, they will help organise your anime correctly.

Thanks for your input guys, I appreciate it really, but the point is, I bought this software with the understanding that it worked and the designer would keep updating it. I should not have to input code or anything else to get it to find the metadata for movies that have been around sense the 70's. So, are you (Plex designers) not going to fix this? Why are you having your people (like me) and all the others that "invested" in "you", put code and patches in "your" engine to get it to work? This is your best? Even an old engine like Netfix can do this. Patch this please! Make the metadata work for Anime!

Nobody asked this yet, so I am doing it now:
Are you trying to add these movies into a 'tv show' library (so these movies stand among all the anime series) or a 'movie' library?

The former is only achievable with some restrictions.

The latter should work, provided your files are named as required.

Here's something nobody has asked about....:

How 'bout providing the name of one of these mystery items?
Also reveal how you're trying to name it and what kind of library you're trying to put it in.
Someone may actually be able to help you if we know what you're trying to do.
In order to provide a solution - we have to first know what the problem is.
