# Only "indirect" connection when connected through app.plex.tv

Hello,
my internet connection was just changed to a DS-Lite connection which brought a ton of problems. Anyway, I registered for a portmapper and disabled the routers firewall for now (I know that’s not good, but let’s introduce as little variables as possible).
I also enabled ipv6 in the Plex settings. Which all leads to the following situation:
Being on LAN and accessing “[app.plex.tv](http://app.plex.tv)” establishes a local connection and everything is fine.
Connecting from a remote machine (simulated by connecting my client to a ipv4 vpn) to “[app.plex.tv](http://app.plex.tv)” gives me an “indirect” connection. However, connecting from the same machine to the portmapper address I get a direct connection to my server.
I have no idea what’s going on here. Since it is clearly possible to directly connect to my server (via the portmapper address), I assume from my site (Firewall, Portmapper, …) everything is OK. What am I missing on the Plex site, so that I can get a direct remote connection through “[app.plex.tv](http://app.plex.tv)” ?

Not recommended to use IPV6 on Plex, past that hopefully someone else or your ISP will have to help you get the Plex port forwarded.
