# OPHT and Rowmote

Just curious if there is a new setting somewhere in OPHT that allows me to set the remote control options. I recently switched from PHT and my iOS app, Rowmote, would work flawlessly with PHT, but does not work with OPHT. I loaded up PMP and the app works like it does in PHT, but OPHT does not work.

I assume you are using OpenPHT v1.7.1 :  
Try to change your rowmote profile to “XBMC” or “KODI” instead of “Plex Home Theater” and it should work …

And for the sake of completeness, here are the manual configuration settings needed for some 3rd party remote apps:  
Webserver Port: 3005 (TCP)  
EventServer Port: 9777 (UDP)

Further information:

If I put the Rowmote into keyboard mode and use the function keys (arrow keys) OPHT responds to that, but if I have Rowmote in it’s default remote control mode the remote keys (+, -, \<\<, \>\>, \>||, Menu) buttons do not work. Just wondering if there is a particular setting somewhere I can change to get these buttons to work with OPHT. I have looked through the settings and cannot find it. I’ve also switched between the default theme, black and Aeon with no changes in behavior.

Yes, I am using the latest OpenPHT.

Where does one change their “profile” to XMBC? Are you a user of Rowmote? I do not see this “profile” thing you mention.

Why would I have to change port settings from what they were when using PHT to OpenPHT, or PMP? Seems kludgy if that is required.
