# Optimization

I know that there is no way to automatically delete the original file after I have optimized it.

But I am having a hard time manually doing it as well…

I optimized some files, moved them from the plex version folder to a different folder. went back deleted the original file and deleted the optimization out of plex, but it deleted the optimized files that I moved as well…

so how do I correctly do this???

Now the Optimized for TV setting should be compatible for most plex clients correct? or is there a better setting I should use?
