Hello everyone,

I have several video training courses that I want to organize in a dedicated library according to the following model:

- training
– Guitar
---- Cursus\_1
------ Video\_1
------ Video\_2
------Video\_…
---- Cursus\_2
------ Video\_1
------ Video\_2
------Video\_…
– Development
---- Cursus\_1
------ Video\_1
------ Video\_2
------Video\_…
---- Cursus\_2
------ Video\_1
------ Video\_2
------Video\_…

I should therefore be able to manage a hierarchy of 2 levels in a library.
Is it feasible?

Thanks for your help 🙂

Plex has no direct support for courses. You can try to use the hierarchy model for tv shows though.

It is beneficial if your files are using the mp4/m4v container format. Because Plex can read certain embedded meta tags from these. Most importantly the `title` tag.
Prepare to use these embedded tags extensively. Because it is of course a workaround to put a course into a tv show structure.
While Plex can go out to [TheMovieDB.org](http://TheMovieDB.org) and [TheTVDB.com](http://TheTVDB.com) to fetch information about tv shows (like posters and descriptions) it cannot do the same when it comes to training courses.

So:

- embed descriptions and the title of each “episode” into the files (on Windows and Mac, you can use e.g. [mp3tag](http://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html "mp3tag") to do so)
- supply posters as [local assets](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220717-local-media-assets-tv-shows/)

I recommend you to create a separate library for this type of content. i.e. don’t use your regular “tv shows” library.
