I have some training videos and such from a few different sources that I would like to organize like TV Shows with seasons and episode numbers etc. But when I Create the library as TV Shows most of the videos don’t populate assuming because they aren’t really TV Shows. How do I get around this? I have tried using the Other Videos library type but then it doesn’t organize the media into the seasons and episodes and Movies gives me the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. ---

If you mean they don’t get metadata, that should be expected. Your personal videos will never match a public database of TV shows. You would have to manage all of the meta data and media yourself - posters and backgrounds. Here’s an example from my own collection. This show was a popular Chicago chef that got bored during the lockdown and started doing 5-15 minute youtube cooking shows. pbs/virtual-kitchen-hangouts-(2020)/ +── season01 +── quarantine-s01e01-chorizo-and-potato-tacos.mp4 +── quarantine-s01e02-red-chile-steak.mp4 +── quarantine-s01e03-chicken-escabeche.mkv +── quarantine-s01e04-tomatillo-sauced-enchilada.mkv +── quarantine-s01e05-corn-chowder.mkv +── quarantine-s01e06-shrimp-and-rice.mkv +── quarantine-s01e07-greens-and-beans.mp4 +── quarantine-s01e08-fish-veracruzano.mkv +── quarantine-s01e09-pork-tomatillo.mkv And I just find my own media for the show. ![virtual](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/plex/original/4X/d/4/1/d410fc5d6a4b2200a35ee81f2117db90a1b5d014.jpeg) Another tip is that “season00” is sort of a grab bag - I’ve put ~related material in season00 with a high episode number, like s00e101. Again, you have to do all of the meta data work. This works for TV shows that are found in the public databases. ---

The media is in the folder of the file system but some of the media never shows up in the library in Plex when I set the type to TV Shows. I expect that I will have to do all the metadata work for sure. ---

When I’ve seen this, I’ve fat fingered the magic numbering convention. A bad example: **s5e4** versus **s05e04** or **s0504** and not **s05e04**. You might want to double check those names. That’s really the only time I’ve had videos not show up. ---

Do you just have your files all thrown into 1 folder? They need to be organized and named just like a regular show. Please provide an exact example of your filenames and folder structure. ---

It was a fat finger in the title. I had S00S01. Had to replace the second S with and E. Didn’t realize I had made that mistake. So knowing that now is that the only limitation on bringing media into a library type of TV Shows is to have that string in the file name SxxExx. Thanks all for the help. ---

It doesn’t have to be SxxEyy, but that is the recommended method. There are a few other number systems that could be used, but those can be hit and miss. ---
