I can’t vote, it really depends on your needs:
Do you connect it to a TV or a home theater, especially with a surround receiver? Then definitely use PMP.
Are you just trying to play stuff on your laptop or desktop with stereo speakers? Plex for Windows is great for you.
OK, good to know I am not the only one who prefers PMP for various reasons. So sad it is discontinued. Plex for Windows seems to be the inferior choice due to its lack of settings.

but it tells you to convert to PfW when starting.
