# Playback controls don't fade out

Server Version#: 1.18.0.1846  
Player Version#: 7.23.0.12806

Hello,

I recently noticed that the playback controls could not be hidden anymore using a simple tap on screen.  
They still disappear after 4 seconds on their own, but, and here’s the real problem, once you used the seeking bar they get stuck in shown position and never disappear on their own again until you restart the playback.

On plex for Android OnePlus 5T

It’s working fine on stable 7.22.1.12828

Maybe it was your change regarding:  
**[Mobile] Player: user-interface stays hidden when starting playback** or  
**[Mobile] Player: ensure tapping on the seekbar doesn’t show seek previews**  
in the [7.23.0.12762-beta - Android (mobile) beta release notes](https://forums.plex.tv/t/android-mobile-beta-release-notes/154125/238) that started this problem ?
