# Playback Error after PMS Update

Server Version#: 1.20.1.3252  
Player Version#: 4.34.4  
With the new PMS update lots of my movies will not play. I get a “Playback Error  
An error occurred loading items to play” without any additional info. This seems to effect lots of movies but I can still view the file info and make metadata edits from Plex and the movies play from the drive just fine. TV library doesn’t seem to be effected whats so ever.  
Is this something that can be fixed or should I moved to an older or beta versions?

Next time you receive that error, wait 2 minutes, then gather up and post the log files.

I leafed through the logs when I posted initially and I couldn’t find anything that stood out. Which file are you checking?

There is an entry in the media scanner log that reports database corruption. The media scanner crashes at this point. Backup your database, store it somewhere safe, then use the procedure to repair a corrupt database. After you’ve repaired it, lets see if the problem still exists.
