I also would love to be able to alphabetize a movie playlist. Playlists are key so we can say jump to the kids list and let them look at their options. Having the list alphabetized would be logical and awesome. Any way to do this? Any chance this functionality will be added? How and Where do we create Smart Playlists? In the web interface I could only click on an individual movie and say Add To Playlist and then create the name of a new Playlist there. When I now go under the Playlist section, I still do not see a way to create a new playlist at all, let alone a Smart Playlist. 1. Some of our movies have some bad naming and when I go in through the Plex web interface I can edit them but they always seem to return to the incorrect name, even if I click on the LOCK function. Why can’t we manually control the naming? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Matt ---

Be aware I made this public. Lots of other users might have info or help. Doesn’t seem like anything private. 1. In my opinion playlists are meant for arranging things in the order you want to play them back in. Though I am sure folks do use them just for browsing “favorites” or similar, they are not really made for simply sorting things in a certain way. Your movie library already has sort mechanism for it and you can create as smart playlist while sorted filtered that way which will keep things in the order of the sort. If you create a normal playlist you can move things manually however you want. You would have to make a [feature suggestion](https://forums.plex.tv/c/general/feature-suggestions) if you want playlist to be have more manual sorting options 2. Guessing your agents may not be arranged optimally. Go to your agent settings for Plex Movie ( assuming that is your default for that library) and move “local media Assets” below Plex movie on one of the movies do a [Fix Match](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201018497-fix-match-match/) choose “search options” and make sure “Plex Movie” is selected for the agent. after you do that even if it gets them wrong your changes should be saved. ![17%20PM](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/plex/original/3X/4/e/4e84d7713e92ff42ea14023c493e2907107a8946.jpeg) ---

Interesting that this will display in the order you put in the collection, though this is not the order it will be played in.
