I go to play a song and on an album and it doesn’t play that song and then plays some song later on in the album ---

If I had to guess, it has probably to do with your media storage: The music is on a regular hard drive which is spun down after a period of idle time. Upon your accessing the track, the drive takes too long to spin back up and deliver the data. So plexamp automatically tries to play the next track in the play queue (the rest of the album is automatically enqueued). This can repeat several times, until the hard drive is finally spun up and ready to deliver data within a reasonable time upon request. ---
