When contacting Roku they say that it’s in the hands of the channel provider to restrict their channel to certain locations and there’s nothing they can do about it when the plex channel isn’t available in germany.
So why is the Plex channel for germany not available? Can’t you change that?
Is there any reason for that or is there at least some kind of upload package to be able to add the channel through the roku developer page?
What type of Roku device do you have? AFAIK, Plex is set to be available in every Roku store. We have not set any type of limitation.
I have a new Roku Streambar and the Plex channel is not available in the Roku Store and when I try to add it through the website here:
I can’t add it as it says it’s not available for my location.
I have the very same issue: I have a Roku® Streaming Stick®+.
I contacted the Roku because I couldn’t find the Plex channel in the channel store and here is the answer:

On checking, We find that your Roku account has been created in the Germany region. The US and the UK are both regions in which Roku directly sells products and services, and offers an official channel store for available channels/services in those respective regions.
Channel availability varies from region to region, as determined by each channel provider themselves. Some channels/services will not be available in all locations on the Roku platform. In some cases, these services may be available in your location on another platform or on other devices, but not necessarily on Roku if the channel provider has not chosen to make their channel available in that location. For any additional questions regarding a specific channel’s availability on Roku, you’ll want to contact that channel/service provider directly.
Also, if I try to add plexnextbeta I get:
The channel code provided is associated with a channel not available in your region.
It would be soooo nice to have a plex client on our Roku devices (in Germany)
