Plex 1.32.2.7002-86cfcc10c breaks hw Transcoding (NVIDIA) - Fixed if rolled back to 1.32.0.6918

Server is a QNAP TS-1655 with an Nvidia P2000.

Noticed some buffering when playing on the road via VPN, checked and it was failing hardware transcoding reverting back to software transcoding… Relevant log below:

Reverted Plex back to 1.32.0.6918 and it works… Unsure which version breaks it, 1.32.0.6918 was the latest “old” version I could find here: plex_download_urls/linux-x86_64.qnap.md at master · axlecrusher/plex_download_urls · GitHub

Source media is 4K HDR10 (HEVC Main), Audio is TRUEHD 7.1

Which Nvidia GPU drivers version do you have installed?

Happy to bump up incrementally from 1.32.0.6918 to see which version breaks it if you can give me the links.

1.32.1.6999-91e1e2e2c (public) should be fine.

I’ve seen the ‘ptx’ problem on a few cases but that’s fixed here somewhere along the way.

Also, be careful of AV1. I don’t know if the 515.87 drivers published by QNAP are sufficient to pass the AV1 API test. (may be your problem)

May I please get DEBUG LOG ZIP of 1.32.2.7002 which capture the failure?

I will need these to give to the engineer

So do you want me to upgrade, run another failed transcode and export the logs or will it already be there from prior?
