# Plex Activity getting hung up on "Updating Metadata"

Server Version#:1.27.2.5929-7000 (PMS Synology)  
Player Version#:4.76.1 (Plex Web)

When in Plex Web it is showing activity of “Updating Metadata:” with what appears to be a music album. However it is just hung up, showing this activity and the same file for days on end. A reboot will make it go away for a bit (day maybe) but will come back and be stuck on a different file. Believe I started seeing this 2 releases ago.

The files getting hung are not recent at all. It has no problem adding new music to library when I launch a scan.

All music is FLAC and named in accordance with Plex convention using MusicBrainz. Tons of music over any prior years and no issues.

I have the similar behaviour on my headless Raspberry Pi 4 Server. Alway hung on an Album. When perform a force reload, updating Metadata hung on a different  
Album. I use local metadata for music and a sheduled refresh and all FLAC coded.  
Plex Server Version 1.28.0.5999 on Debian 11 Bullseye
