Server Version#: 1.25.7.5604
Player Version#: 1.42.1.2926-415b0e14

Filename: 9.11.Life.Under.Attack.2021.1080p.mp4

It wants to match it as 9/11: I Was There. But that is a different movie.
I see them both in TMDB

> **[9/11: Life Under Attack](https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/871082-9-11-life-under-attack)**
>
> A unique and compelling account of the day that changed the modern world, captured by ordinary people who chose to pick up their cameras and film that fateful day.

> **[9/11: I Was There](https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/873368-9-11-i-was-there)**
>
> Marking the 20th anniversary of September 11, this two-hour documentary presents a unique and moving account of the day that changed the modern world. Featuring rare footage and audio, “9/11: I Was There” unveils an intimate portrayal of the events...

I can not figure out how to make it search TMDB. Instead of the Plex Media agent. I have tried this in both the Mac client and the web client. neither let’s me have it search TMDB.

Is there a way I can add the movie to whatever source the Plex Media agent is using these days? Or how do I force it to use TMDB as the source instead of Plex Media?

I was just checking this.
According to IMDb, both are alternative titles of the same tv movie / documentary.

> **[9/11: I Was There (TV Movie 2021) - IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15251134/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ql_sm#akas)**
>
> 9/11: I Was There (TV Movie 2021) on IMDb: Movies, TV, Celebs, and more...

Both entries on The Movie Database point to that same tv movie – therefore Plex considers them to be the same.

So it uses IMDB?? IMDB is wrong. I will submit a correction to them. But can I force it to use TMDB instead of IMDB?

Plex is building its own set of metadata from various sources. If TMDb is e.g. having a reference to an IMDb record, Plex will use that information to link the two.

Meaning: once this is fixed on IMDb, we need to fix the reference on TMDb too.

oh I see. both of TBMD entries linked to the IMDB entry. ok. so I fixed that. hopefully everything will sync up soonish. and Plex’s stuff will update soon.

thanks for the help.

I was hoping I could just force it to point to TMDB and ignore whatever the Plex was trying to do with their meta data aggregation. but oh well.

Any idea how long it takes Plex to update their meta library? I fixed everything in TMBD and IMDB yesterday and it’s not reflecting for Plex.

I stumbled across how to switch your library away from the Plex source data. If you go into Manage Library → Edit go to advanced tab. You can change the agent there.

Keep in mind those legacy agents are no longer updated and will probably go away at some point. They should have the same update cycle as the new agent.

The TVDB and TMDB are going away?

The legacy Plex agents – probably… Plex have hinted that in some posts after the new agent was released.
Obviously not the platforms.
