Plex Agent no longer working and Add to Watchlist option is also now gone

Apparently I had that wrong it was 1.41.7.9717-fa0101728 I probably hadnt refreshed the tab since it upgraded

I just downgraded to 1.41.5.9522 from 1.41.6.9685 and my agent functionality has been restored. I’m able to match my content. I’m running Plex off Windows 11 24H2.

Hopefully this fix resolves the problem. The only way I was able to get matches again was to go back to the IMDB agent for movies and TheTVDB agent for series. However, they kinda suck - they feel slow, clicking on an actor only shows available media and not the actor’s information page, and they can get wrong thumbnails.

I am on version 1.41.6.9685, hosted on a Debian machine and using Cloudflare DNS.

1.41.7.9749-ce0b45d6e is now available to Plex Pass holders. The download page is updated but not our announcement thread  . This release has the changes @ChuckPa listed.

Still getting the no matches found agent error after upgrading to 1.41.7.9749-ce0b45d6e. I’ll downgrade to 1.41.6.9685 and stick with it for now.

Are you using the ā€œnewā€ agents or the legacy? I haven’t upgraded to the new build yet, so you may have just saved me the trouble.

New agents but same error. Downgraded to 1.41.6.9685 and my new agents are working as expected. I used to switch back and forth between the old and new agents when I received the no match error but i’m glad the new agents are working as expected in older server versions.

So interesting! I downgraded a few days ago to 1.41.9685 but the new agents still fail. I’m stuck on the legacy agents to keep things working. I’ll give the latest build a shot with legacy agents and see if it works.

Sounds good, so far, they’ve been working great on 1.41.6.9685. I haven’t made any changes to my server besides downgrading.

Please grab logs if you’re still seeing an issue on 1.41.7.9749-ce0b45d6e.

I already downgraded to 1.41.6.9685 sorry.

Upgrading to Beta version Version 1.41.7.9749 has fixed this issue for me on Win10

Think I’m going to wait until 1.41.7.9749 is out of beta because 1.41.6.9685 has been running flawlessly.

still no joy on Synology Server, Plex agent doesnt match anything still

Will upgrade in the morning and report back

Can confirm this did not fix it. The logs show NOTHING AT ALL! So wont be of any help. Nothing gets logged when I try to Match something, it just fails…

I’m also having this issue. I tried switching agents but it always reverts back to Plex agent. I don’t want to keep doing this in cause it leads to corruption.

I think I have this same exact issue. The Movie Agent just simply can’t find a match, but I don’t see an error in the console, the signal is seemingly successful (see below)

I’ve tried all the suggested fixes in this thread; latest stable version, latest beta version, old agent, new agent, DBRepair tool, ā€œPlex danceā€, whitelisting IPs etc.

Request: [192.168.86.30:57731 (Allowed Network (Subnet))] GET /library/metadata/380/matches?manual=1&title=Example%20Movie&agent=tv.plex.agents.movie&year=&language=en-US (8 live) #9cfd TLS GZIP Signed-in Token (carlhorned) (Chrome)

Completed: [192.168.86.30:57731] 200 GET /library/metadata/380/matches?manual=1&title=Example%20Movie&agent=tv.plex.agents.movie&year=&language=en-US (8 live) #9cfd TLS GZIP 6ms 615 bytes (pipelined: 13)

For anyone having issues with the Plex Movie or Plex Series agent not working, please restart your server, wait a couple minutes, then try to refresh/match/fix match some things and grab the server logs and attach them here.

There is no backend issue I’m aware of. Nobody internally has reported any issues and I haven’t seen any issues myself so it could be a regional thing or something specific to an ISP or DNS provider. Logs would help isolate things.
